Summary of SOS rules for summer competition Explained – by Michael Woodward
- One female player to be on playing field at all times.
- If teams cannot field a female player the team must play one player down.
- Kicker to retrieve ball if kicked beyond playing field.
- Referees decision is final (that, is why he has the whistle) - YELLOW and RED cards will be issued if the need arises and dealt with under the SOS judiciary system.
- GOLD SHORTS – these are worn by players that are 60+ Male and Female other players must remain 1 metre playing distance and not engage in tackling the ball, However these players must release the ball within 6 seconds of receiving it.
- OFFSIDE RULES can be found on the SOS web site.
- Please ensure that all your players are aware of SOS rules before taking the field in the Summer SOS playing season.
- Playing teams to field opposition team players (if they have extra players) first before using fill in players
- TEAM LEADERS
Team Leaders are responsible for the teams’ behaviour Team Leaders are responsible for individual team members’ behaviourTeams will be penalised for No Action takenASK FOR HELP IF NEEDED
ALL players that SIGN the registration forms AGREE to follow the SOS rules and by-laws and play in the SPIRIT of the SOS Summer competition.SPITTING
Please have consideration for other fellow players when needing to ‘spit’ on the field.

THERE WILL BE A REFEREE TRAINING NIGHT AT SOUTH SERVICES CLUB AT 6:30PM ON THE 6 TH OF OCTOBER, ALL NOMINATED REFEEREES ARE TO ATTEND.

Changes to be made regarding trophies for summer competition – suggestion of club shirts for team player’s player – sizes for these players to be given a couple of weeks before presentation evening. Also Bob and Woody to look into other options such as wine glasses, beer mugs, stubby holders etc.

Each team to supply 3 helpers to help in canteen after first game of the night
- Maximum of two with RSA to work in Bar
- One person to work food side of canteen
- People with RSA need to supply a copy of their certificate which will be held in the canteen
- * Committee members with RSA will take it in turns to walk around grounds each week to check for underage drinking, unruly behaviour due to excessive alcohol etc.
- The Gold shorts rule has been changed to allow the wearer to play the ball for 6 seconds and then must pass to someone else. Players can not take the ball from anyone with Gold shorts if the ball is within 1 metre of the players.

LAST GAMES – Teams playing at this time are to take down nets and secure goals (on outer fields)

**LARGE PEGS ARE TO BE PUT IN THE ORANGE CRATES IN THE SHED AND NOT IN THE BAGS WITH THE NETS - Please leave the Ambulance entrance clear.

- Registration Fees increase to $40:00 per player.
- Team Fees $50:00 per game to cover toilet cleaning fees and costs
